yes, well. ..more than a year has passed since i first balanced my latent (or not so latent) techy popculture driven blog desires with my (pompous?, shut up.) neoluddite anti-popculture inhibitions, sucked it up and got a fucking blog., and having since taken a really good nap (and having been nudged by dear swizzard toward a handful of inspiring, funny, and worthwhile blogs - checkthelinks), i think its finally time to stare down my demons of accountability and put my blatherings (usually reserved for that -un?-fortunate few that i spend all my time with and thus both prompt and refine those blatherings) in print, or type, or whateverthehell the internet is (010100111010010?).
actually, i really just want to show everyone this lonely planet forum post that radley balko has linked to his blog that i think might be the funniest goddamn thing i've ever read:
read all the whole first page (and if you can, read "cyclotouriste's" threads in a sean connery voice for a really worthwhile effect).
so, right. that's it for now. i'm at work (that i quit the other day! i'm almost done with you office life! you taker of sunny days! you chamber of stale air and intellects! one more day!), and i think i have to maintain some sort of semblance of productivity or else they make me eat my paycheck.
